ECOTUNE BMW 1&3 Series 2.0D Decat downpipe

Fits BMW 320d and 120d models fitted with the M47 150/163hp engine where a catalytic converter is installed instead of a DPF.

This is a direct replacement for the standard primary catalytic convertor and down pipe that are fitted to the car from the factory. If your car was fitted with a DPF from the factory, this downpipe will not fit. If you are unsure, please get in touch and we will be delighted to help.

Performance - You will enjoy reduced turbo lag and a noticable performance difference throughout the entire rev range, the original downpipe has a near 90 degree angle into a restrictive "heat soaked" cat which is replaced with a smooth bend and unnecessary under bonnet heat is reduced. Turbo lag is reduced and the reduction in turbo temperatures has a direct effect on the air intake temperature. This promotes a cleaner burn and with the correct software, a higher power remap can be applied safely in the knowledge that your turbocharger is running cooler.

Economy - You will experience around a 2 mpg improvement over the original restrictive catalytic convertor depending on your driving style due to the reduction in your turbo and intake temperatures.

Longevity - Your upgraded dowpipe is over-engineered in 316 Marine Grade stainless steel and the flexible coupling in 304 Grade stainless steel, your new downpipe should outlast the life of your vehicle. You should also expect your turbocharger to have a longer life as temperatures are greatly reduced.

Perfect Fit - This downpipe was carefully developed using the Genuine BMW factory item as a template then improvements were made to flow where possible.

Noise - The only difference to the sound from your exhaust is a very gentle whistle from your now de-restricted turbocharger. This in no way has an effect on the exhaust note.
